Both events were a special occasion for Keys, given it was her very first time in Mexico City. In addition to the amazing food and beautiful architecture, the star says she was instantly drawn to the city’s people. “I just really love the people, the energy, the love,” says Keys. “The art is incredible.” She was particularly struck by just how big the city is, too. “Culturally, it is so rich and it’s such a big city—so much bigger than you would maybe even think,” she says. “There’s the big city element, and then you can drive an hour away and go to the pyramids.” For the Dior show, Keys selected an easy, summery look from the label that was all about the crop top—something she thinks reflects her own personal style. “I always like to look like myself,” says Keys. “I loved my look It felt playful—casual, but fun. I love the crop top and the way that it tied in the back. I also loved the details of the beautiful elephants—the material of the piece.” She accessorized the look with a silver choker necklace and sleek sunglasses. “I loved the whole vibe,” says Keys.
